Terms and Conditions for Tour and Safari Activities

1. Acceptance of Terms
By booking a tour or safari with Travel Giants Uganda (hereinafter “we,” “us,” “our,” or “the Company”), you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If booking on behalf of others, you confirm their acceptance of these terms.
2. Booking and Payment
- Reservations: Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of a deposit (typically 30–50% of the total price) or full payment, as specified.
- Payment Methods: We accept bank transfers, credit/debit cards, and other agreed-upon methods.
- Final Payment: Must be completed at least 30 days before the tour start date, unless otherwise stated.
- Late Bookings: Bookings made within 30 days of departure require full payment.
3. Pricing and Inclusions
- Inclusions: Prices include accommodations, meals, transportation, park fees, and guided activities as specified in the itinerary.
- Exclusions: International flights, visas, travel insurance, personal expenses, gratuities, and items not explicitly listed are excluded.
- Price Changes: We reserve the right to adjust prices due to changes in government taxes, park fees, fuel costs, or exchange rates. You will be notified in advance.
4. Cancellations and Refunds
- By You:
- Cancellation 60+ days before departure: Deposit forfeited.
- Cancellation 30–59 days before departure: 50% of total price forfeited.
- Cancellation less than 30 days before departure: No refund.
- By Us: We may cancel due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., natural disasters, political unrest). In such cases, we offer a full refund or alternative tour dates.
- No-Shows: No refund for missed departures or unused services.
5. Changes to Bookings
- Date or itinerary changes are subject to availability and may incur fees. Requests must be made in writing.
6. Health, Safety, and Travel Documents
- Travel Insurance: Mandatory for all clients. Must cover medical emergencies, evacuation, trip cancellation, and loss of belongings.
- Health Requirements: You are responsible for ensuring you are medically fit for the tour. Consult a doctor regarding vaccinations and health precautions.
- Documents: Valid passports, visas, and health certificates are your responsibility. We are not liable for denied entry or delays due to improper documentation.
- Safety: Follow guide instructions and safety protocols at all times. We reserve the right to remove any participant endangering themselves or others, without refund.
7. Risks and Liability
- Assumption of Risk: Wildlife encounters, rough terrain, and adventure activities involve inherent risks. By participating, you acknowledge these risks.
- Limitation of Liability: We are not liable for losses, injuries, damages, delays, or expenses caused by events beyond our control (e.g., weather, natural disasters, political unrest, acts of third parties).
- Maximum Liability: Limited to the total price paid for the tour.
8. Conduct and Responsibility
- Respect local cultures, wildlife, and environments. We may terminate your tour for disruptive or illegal behavior without refund.
- You are liable for damages to property or equipment caused by negligence.
9. Itinerary Changes
- We may modify itineraries due to safety, weather, or operational reasons, providing suitable alternatives where possible.
10. Force Majeure
- Not liable for failure to perform due to unforeseeable events beyond our control (e.g., war, terrorism, pandemics, natural disasters).
11. Privacy Policy
- Personal information is used for booking and communication purposes only. We do not share data with third parties without consent, except as required by law.
12. Complaints
- Report issues immediately to your guide or our office. If unresolved, submit a written complaint within 30 days of tour completion.
13. Governing Law
- These terms are governed by Ugandan law. Disputes shall be resolved in Ugandan courts.
14. Agreement
- These Terms and Conditions, along with the itinerary and booking form, constitute the entire agreement between you and Travel Giants Uganda.
